Board of Directors

Mr. Dhananjay Prasad Acharya, Chairman, is a renowned entrepreneur having extensive experience in the banking sector with a special focus on energy. He served as a board member of Nepal’s largest government owned financial institution and established Asia’s only bank with a focus on clean energy. He has been the chairman of Clean Energy Development Bank Limited (now NMB Bank Limited), and an Executive Member of the Climate Change Committee of the Government of Nepal chaired by the Prime Minister. He has started CEDB Hydro Fund in Nepal, a Private Equity Fund. He is also the only member from the private sector on the Executive Board of the Government of Nepal’s Designated National Agency (DNA) which is sole body for carbon credit recommendations to the United Nations.

Mr. Krishna Raj Parajuli, Managing Director, is a banking, finance and merchant banking sector initiator, promoter and professional. He worked as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Business Universal Development Bank (now Siddartha Bank Ltd.) for 10 years. Prior to that, he worked as the Managing Director of Pokhara Finance Limited and Board Member of Growmore Merchant Banking Ltd. He has 20 years of banking and financial sector experience. He has completed Masters in International Business from Webster University (Thailand) and an MBA from Tribhuvan University (Nepal). He has participated in banking, executive education, and investment banking trainings at the University of Wisconsin, Webster University and other institutions in the USA. He also worked as a consultant of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to prepare a draft report on equity funds in Nepal.

Mr. Shriram Neupane, Board Member, is the Chairman and Managing Director of Megatech Hydro and Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. an ‘A’ class construction company with tunnel construction focuses on hydropower and water supply projects in Nepal. The company has been working for the Dordi Khola Hydropower Project (25MW), Melamchi Water Supply, Kathmandu-Hetauda tunnel road and few others in its pipeline. He has also established a prominent engineering college in Nepal. He has a Master Degree in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Umesh Kumar Agrawal, Board Member, is an established entrepreneur with a focus on the medical sector. He is the Executive Director of Garg Dental Pvt. Ltd. and Biomed International Pvt. Ltd. He is also the Director of National Health Care, Surgichem Distributors and few other pharmaceutical industries. He has a Bachelors Degree in Economics (honors) and an MBA from universities in India.

Mr. Manish Kumar Ghiraiya, Board Member, is a serial entrepreneur and business person with more than 10 years of experience in Nepali market.
